"Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff; Christ's Childhood Friend"

It is really a good book (even if the title sound's like a bad pamphlet they hand out at bus stops)...I won't tell you what my favorite part is up to the point I've read...except that there is an statue of a man in ALL of his correct proportions and a chisel...

I'm sure the book was better, probably; the book was really good itself

The Maltese Falcon by Dashiell Hammett

Movies have been ruining books since the 1920s (so says Threadless)...That's why I watched the movie before I read the book.

Finished "The Name of the Wind"...reading The Bartimaeus Triology.

Finished both Blaze and From a Buick 8.

Blaze is pretty decent, but not great, and From a Buick 8 is the most entertaining King novel I've read from the last decade or so, so far. Outstanding job.

Now I need something different to read. O_O

No, five books to read. x3

I only have 4 summer assignments. All the AP classes give them out. Torture us early.<3

I'm re-reading Eclipse. I bought it for the first chapter of Breaking Dawn and the poster. But, I've decided re-reading the series before August 2nd won't hurt. (:

Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, Watchmen. This is only the second Western "graphic novel" I've purchased and read, and I likely would have never done so without the influence of a friend, an avid comics fan.

Ah, excellent choice, I have read the whole story and it is magnificent. Shove that in the face of whatever bigoted fool claims that comics aren't real literature.

Reading At the Mountains of Madness by Lovecraft and also Palahniuk's Diary.

It's Dumas, but yeah, I'm reading that now. It's a lot of fun, if not too long.

Finished The Fixer by Bernard Malamud, it was very powerful and moving. The whole book was basically just asking, why? Why do we let terrible shit happen? It spoke of human perseverance and willpower, and the strength of a man pitted against unstoppable odds. I think my favorite part about this book was that it explored the full range of emotions, from anger and disgust, to sadness, to even happiness as Yakov Bok realizes that he does indeed have people on his side. Just a great book, really.

Reading What is the What by Dave Eggers (although it is technically the autobiography of Achak Deng, who had Eggers write it for him).
It's about the civil war in Sudan.
Read it.
That is all.
